Revenue is the start. Costs complete the picture.
Multiply active paying clients by the monthly price of your coaching offer. Then subtract fixed business costs and the percentage you expect to spend on variable costs. The result is estimated operating income before tax, not personal take-home pay.
Clients × monthly price − fixed costs − variable costsBuild an offer you can deliver consistently.
Use your own numbers for equipment, software, rent, insurance and other costs. If your client mix varies, use a realistic average price rather than your highest package price.
A few things worth knowing.
Is this my take-home income?
No. The result is an operating estimate before income taxes, owner benefits and any costs you have not entered. It is a planning tool, not accounting or tax advice.
Which costs should I include?
Enter recurring amounts such as software, rent, insurance and equipment as fixed monthly costs. Use the variable percentage for costs that rise with revenue, such as a blended payment-processing estimate. Avoid counting the same cost twice.
Does this assume every client pays?
Yes. It models the roster and average monthly price you enter. Use a lower client count or average price if you expect pauses, discounts or missed payments. The annual figure simply multiplies the monthly result by 12.
